Three Questions for Hayk Marutyan: Naira Zohrabyan

Armenian National Assembly member Naira Zohrabyan has posed three questions to Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan on her Facebook page. "Today, the 'Hraparak' newspaper received a notification from the Yerevan mayor's office to vacate the area at the Buzand address within a five-day period over the interests of the Yerevan community, as stated in the notice. As the chair of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, I have three questions for Mayor Marutyan.

So, the first question: The 'Hraparak' newspaper, until February 14, 2020, has a contract for non-residential space usage authorized by the Yerevan Council, and there is no council decision to terminate this contract. So, why are you violating the contract?

Is the 90 square meters occupied by the 'Hraparak' newspaper really that much of an obstacle to its realization?

And finally, the third and last question: Mr. Mayor, do you not think that to effectively serve the interests of the Yerevan community, completely different actions should be taken?" she wrote.
