Civil Contract Party Enters Next Phase of Development: Lena Nazaryan
The Civil Contract Party is entering the next phase of its development. This was announced by Civil Contract member and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Lena Nazaryan on her Facebook page, referring to the results of the party's 4th congress held today.
“Today, the 4th (working) congress of the Civil Contract Party took place.
I am pleased to announce that the Civil Contract Party is entering its next development phase, and we have opened an important discussion about what kind of party we are building or reconstructing. This conversation will significantly contribute to the transformation and healing of the political landscape in Armenia. It is a long and important discussion.
However, under the conditions of changed realities, it is clear to us that we do not aspire to be the largest party in Armenia nor to include all those who are accustomed to being part of the day’s party, and we do not aim to participate indiscriminately in all local elections or occupy all leadership positions in communities.
I also want to reaffirm that since its inception, the Civil Contract Party has held steadfast values and will remain committed to them. We have always dreamed of having a transparent, accountable, inclusive, self-financing, democratic, and ideologically-driven party, and our efforts will be directed towards maintaining, implementing, and presenting these principles,” she wrote.
