Victory Park Celebrates Fatherland Defender's Day

February 23 is celebrated in Russia as Fatherland Defender's Day. As a tradition, it is also marked in Armenia. According to SHANTNEWS’s correspondent, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, senior officials from the Armed Forces of Armenia and Russia, and representatives of the Russian community in Armenia have gathered at Victory Park.

The attendees lay flowers at the Unknown Soldier memorial, paying their respects to the memory of those who fell in defense of the homeland, after which the event will conclude with a solemn march of Armenian and Russian servicemen.
