Azerbaijani Athlete Demands Azerbaijani Flag Not to be Displayed Under Armenian Flag

Bakuvian student Zahra Salmanli has demanded that the Azerbaijani flag not be displayed under the Armenian flag during a karate tournament held in Iran. "Salmanli announced that she would not participate in the tournament if the position of the Azerbaijani flag was not changed," the publication states.

The organizers conceded to the underage girl and changed the position of the Azerbaijani flag.

Salmanli is a fifth-grade student at one of the schools in Baku.
