The 'My Step' Foundation to Support Couples Facing Infertility

The 'My Step' charitable foundation's outreach programs include support for children in difficult situations, the establishment of foster family institutions, prevention of child abandonment, and the elimination of orphanages, as well as promoting reproductive health in Armenia.

During a meeting with reporters, Anna Hakobyan, the chairwoman of the board of trustees for the 'My Step' and 'City of Smiles' charitable foundations and wife of the Armenian Prime Minister, spoke about the foundation's upcoming programs.

She emphasized that the program is still in the development phase: "Currently, foundation staff are discussing with all stakeholders in the field. We anticipate that it will be a very costly program," she stated.

The next outreach program envisions a budget of 1 billion drams and is still under discussion, aimed at supporting the growth of reproductive health in Armenia. "Through this program, assistance will be provided to families who are unable to have children and wish to pursue this option, but do not have sufficient resources. Previously, this was managed through the 'Aragil' foundation, which has since ceased its operations. We have a queue of 400 couples now and need to expedite the process," she added.
