Tragic Car Accident: BMW Crashes into a Thick Tree and Ends Up on the Banks of the Debed River
A tragic car accident occurred in the Lori region. Yesterday, on February 18, around 22:00, 35-year-old Grigor Avetisyan, a resident of Gandzak village in the Gegharkunik region, lost control of his BMW car with license plate 35 NL 059 on the 67th kilometer of the Vanadzor-Bagratashen highway. The vehicle veered off the road, crashed into a tree, and ended up on the banks of the Debed River.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the accident resulted in the immediate death of G. Avetisyan. Officers from the 2nd Police Battalion's 5th Company reached the scene, led by Company Commander Smbat Norekyan. A team from the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, headed by Senior Investigator Mnacakanyan, also arrived to prepare materials regarding the incident.
The information about the accident was relayed to the operational management center of the Road Police by duty officer Yervand Aleksanyan, leading to the dispatch of an operational group from the Tumanyan Police Department, headed by the Deputy Head Vardanyan. Forensic experts from the Lori regional police department were also present at the scene. Following the investigator's orders, the vehicle was moved to a secured area of the Tumanyan Police Department.
According to G. Shamshyan's reports, the driver was employed by the Kapavor LLC.
