Torosyan Signs Most State Order Contracts with Hospital Owned by Aleksanyans

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "These days, the Ministry of Health is signing the state order contracts for 2019. It is interesting to see how Arsen Torosyan plans to organize 'free and privileged medical assistance.' We have discovered some very intriguing data on the Ministry of Health's website.

The largest order has been awarded to the 'Astghik' medical center, which, as we know, is owned by the former authorities' favored oligarch, Samvel Aleksanyan. If in 2018 he received an order worth 1 billion 579 million AMD, in 2019 it has doubled to 2 billion 641 million. The state order for the ‘Nork-Marash’ cardiology center has been reduced from 1 billion 46 million AMD to 941 million AMD.

However, the most noteworthy aspect is Arsen Torosyan's inclination to 'water his own tree' — he has doubled the state funding for his own 'Mibs' LLC, which only provides MRT services. If in 2018 it was merely 25 million AMD, in 2019 it will receive 57 million 37 thousand AMD. Incidentally, Levon Altunyan did the same in the past, increasing the state order for his 'Vardanants' clinic.

In a conversation with us about 'Astghik,' Deputy Minister of Health Arsen Davtyan said he does not remember the figures and needs to look at which programs have seen growth: 'We have started a new program for oncological surgeries, 'Astghik' provides hemodialysis services, and maternity care.'
