Tragic Accident on Arshakunyats Avenue: One Fatality

On February 17, at around 19:40, on Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan, in front of the Armenian Ministry of Defense military unit, a driver of a Mercedes vehicle with license plate 35 ZՏ 896 struck a pedestrian, reports Shamshyan.com.

The pedestrian died at the scene, while the driver was transported to the Erebuni Medical Center by an ambulance from Yerevan 1-03.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. The police and investigation department are working to identify the deceased and the driver responsible for the accident.
