We Must Change the Perception That the State Revenue Committee Lives Off Citizens and Their Interests: Nikol Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a consultation meeting during which the activities aimed at modernizing the functions of the State Revenue Committee were presented. Before addressing the agenda of the discussion, Prime Minister Pashinyan made several observations regarding the operations of the State Revenue Committee.
“Recently, there has been a lot of criticism regarding the work of the SRC, and we have also touched upon this topic during discussions in the National Assembly. It is very important that we ultimately succeed in changing the perception of a certain segment of the public. To put it vividly, and I apologize for this vivid phrasing, the perception that the State Revenue Committee operates at their expense and in the interest of a select few must change. It is vital for the public to see and feel that the State Revenue Committee is not indifferent to the criticisms aimed at it, from the style of work to the general content and demeanor,” said Prime Minister Pashinyan.
“This is extremely important, and you can take this as my direct instruction—to Mr. Ananyan and to the entire team of the SRC. Let’s agree that we will periodically discuss what changes we have been able to make in this regard and what results we have achieved. We must also carefully monitor the public reaction to this process and the expected changes,” emphasized Prime Minister Pashinyan.
