Three Cars and One Bus Collide on Gayi Avenue Due to Black Ice
This morning, Aurora News received calls from drivers reporting that Gayi Avenue, particularly near the 4th massif, was covered in black ice. Our news outlet informed the city hall's hot line (1-05). Shortly after, Aurora News was notified that salt and sand had been spread, and the black ice was removed; however, it was revealed that an accident had already occurred.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, sewage water from a viewing well had turned a significant portion of Gayi Avenue into a slippery slope, making the road impassable. As a result, cars including an Opel Astra, a Toyota Corolla, a Mercedes van, and the bus serving route number 4 collided.
Preliminary reports indicate that one person was taken to the hospital following the accident. The impact caused the Mercedes to overturn and end up on a concrete curb. Witnesses at the scene stated that only after the accident did the responsible officials from the Nor Nork administrative district show up to start road maintenance work, filling the area with salt and sand.
