Euro Mamas or Euro Siblings: Pashinyan on Leaders of Germany and Lithuania

As previously reported, a discussion on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's book "The Other Side of the Country" took place at the Loft club, where the Prime Minister himself was present.

During the meeting, Pashinyan also spoke about two European leaders, Angela Merkel and the President of Lithuania:

“I want to make an honest confession about two leaders in Europe. The first is Angela Merkel, and the second is the President of Lithuania. These two individuals have shocked and surprised me with the care and attention they have shown regarding the events taking place in Armenia. From our first conversation, I sensed that warmth, that so-called fear that perhaps this whole thing might fail—being careful here, or don’t do that, there is this issue, I know from my experience. That care is the most striking aspect I have felt, particularly regarding Angela Merkel, and it is a very touching moment. I refer to them as Euro Mamas or Euro Siblings, that's the association. When they regard everything with such tenderness, it is like how a real mother, sister, or family member might relate to all of this,” he said, adding:

“And in all of this, there’s no geopolitical trap, no malice; there was human, ordinary, simple care for a phenomenon that is also incomprehensible to them, but for some reason has become very dear to them.”
