Major Theft in Vanadzor: Director of 'MIG Metal' Robbed

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the Lori Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is preparing materials based on a report received from 61-year-old Nina Makaryan, a resident of the Lori region.

At around 12:30 PM, she alerted the Bazum police department in Vanadzor, stating that between February 13 at 20:00 and February 14 at 10:00, an unknown person or persons opened the window of her house on Mashtots Street using technical means, entered inside, and using technical means also opened a non-flammable safe from which they stole a 'Churchill' type 12mm smoothbore shotgun belonging to 67-year-old Gagik Mkrtchyan, a resident of 45 Mashtots Street, a 'Combat' type 9mm pistol belonging to his son, Hakob Mkrtchyan, as well as two gold rings.

A police operational group, headed by the deputy head of the Bazum police department, Arzumanyan, arrived at the scene. An investigative team and a forensic expert also arrived. The police and investigative department are conducting necessary operational and investigative joint activities aimed at uncovering the crime and identifying the perpetrator or perpetrators. According to G. Shamshyan, G. Mkrtchyan works as the director of 'MIG Metal' LLC.
