Shooting at Nightclub Targeting Dancer

According to Shamshyan.com, the criminal investigation department of the Gugark division of the Vanadzor Police received operational information about gunshots that occurred around 03:00 AM on February 12 at the Favorit nightclub located in the administrative territory of Arjut village.

Police in the Lori Province have determined that on that day, 21-year-old K. V., a resident of Vanadzor, was present at the nightclub when his acquaintance, John, threw tokens at him from the VIP room and hurled sexual insults at him and the people present.

K. V. attempted to leave the room; however, John opened fire with a gun and hurled a beer bottle at the girl. The police also found out that when the girl tried to escape, John searched for her for 20 minutes, until the club administrator, 50-year-old Arthur Hovsepyan, removed him from the premises.

Through efforts by the police in Lori Province, it was revealed that John is 26-year-old Janbek Melikyan, a resident of Vanadzor, who presented himself to the Gugark police with a confession due to the explanatory work conducted by the police.

The weapon has been recovered, and K. V. is confirmed to be a dancer at the aforementioned nightclub.
