Video: The Entire Economy of Armenia is Either a Relative or a Relative of a Relative, Says Prime Minister

During a speech in the National Assembly today, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed the nature of investment in Armenia, stating, "In the parliament and the government, it is usually the good guys who gather, and when it comes to investment, they ask, how should we bring it? We are all relatives; we have other good relatives, there are relatives of relatives, and now how are we going to bring investments? Each one of us must tell our relatives, our relatives must tell their relatives, and the relatives' relatives must tell their relatives so that we can come and do something, make something happen."

He continued, "Let’s look at our investment history; who invests in Armenia? They are either relatives, or relatives of relatives, or relatives of relatives of relatives. That’s why today the entire economy of Armenia is either a relative or a relative of a relative, or a relative of a relative of a relative. We say we refuse this system; this is the revolution."
