Dialysis Service Tender at 'Gr. Lusavorich' Won by Furniture Company

According to the newspaper 'Hraparak', new issues have emerged regarding the dialysis service tender at 'Gr. Lusavorich' Medical Center. Unexpectedly for many, the tender was won not by the long-standing service provider 'Frizanyuz', but by 'Zarshen', a company that, according to the medical staff, previously engaged in the furniture business. Sources indicate that one of the governmental 'authorized' services did not hide its interest in the company's victory.

What was the reason for this change? We asked the director of the medical center, Arman Hovakimyan. “It's related to the procurement process. It is being optimized, the number of applicants has increased, and we may even choose a higher price offer—the most optimal one. 'Zarshen' won the tender regarding filters. As for the maintenance of dialysis technical equipment, we have announced a new tender, although we do not rule out that the hospital may perform that maintenance,” he stated.

Do you operate on the principle of 'divide and conquer'? “No, there are no such principles. That would be similar to dismantling a car into parts and 'conquering' it. Such a thing is impossible... the procurement system has its shortcomings. One of the main reasons is that separate tenders were announced.”

Why wasn't it like this before when one company provided services? “Because at that time, many could not participate in the tenders—only one company participated, and it won.” Will 'Zarshen', a furniture business, be able to treat patients? “Time will tell; besides, the company will only be engaged in supplies.”
