Beneficiaries Unable to Acquire POS Terminals for 60,000 Drams
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports: "Although recently Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the head of the State Revenue Committee announced that new generation POS terminals would be provided to economic operators for 60,000 drams instead of 160,000 drams, beneficiaries of the new terminals have been sounding alarms for several days now, claiming that they cannot acquire the devices for 60,000 drams.
Economic operators say they are being sent to the tax office only to be redirected back to the Public Services Center, where they are told that they do not yet have a directive to release the terminals at the 60,000 dram price. There is also an issue concerning those who purchased the new POS terminals at the price of 160,000 drams. In their case, the additional amount, which is 100,000 drams, is supposed to be reimbursed to the operators' accounts; however, to this day, no reimbursements have been made, citing the reason that there is currently no money in the budget."
