VIDEO: Turkish Military Helicopter Crashes, Casualties Reported

A Turkish military helicopter crashed in the Çekmeköy district of Istanbul. According to CNN Turk, Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya reported that four fatalities have resulted from the aviation accident.

The deceased were military personnel, and there are no reported casualties among the civilian population. The American-made UH-1 type helicopter fell in a garden in the Kirazlıdere neighborhood of Çekmeköy. The military personnel on board were transported to the hospital after the incident where they later succumbed to their injuries.

Initial reports suggest that the helicopter lost altitude rapidly while attempting to make an emergency landing before ultimately crashing. An investigation has been launched in connection with the incident.
