Connections with the Criminal World: Notable Appointment in the NSS

The publication reports that a notable appointment took place in January at the National Security Service (NSS). Serob Harutyunyan has been appointed as the head of the Law Enforcement Service and Oversight Division of the NSS Counterintelligence Department.

Harutyunyan was the former chief of police in the Kotayk region and the former head of the Nubarashen penitentiary, from which he was dismissed in June 2018. There have been press publications in the past about his connections with the criminal world, particularly with figures such as Suren from Leninakand and Zapi.
