Gevorg Safaryan Called Osipyan a Scoundrel During the Police Chief's Interrogation

A tense situation arose during the interrogation of Police Chief Valeri Osipyan in the case involving ten members of the Sasna Tsrer group, according to armtimes.com.

Specifically, group member Areg Kyureghyan asked Osipyan whether he had been informed during his time in the police unit that the constitutional order in the country had been collapsed and that their actions were directed against maintaining it. Osipyan replied, “I don’t need explanations; I can explain to many what the constitutional order is, but there has been a conversation around this.”

The court removed Kyureghyan's question, “Do you admit that the constitutional order has been collapsed?” During this time, group member Smbat Barseghyan said something to the police chief that was not audible to those present outside the glass. In response to Osipyan’s question asking if he had something to say, Smbat said something again, after which Valeri Osipyan remarked.

“No one should try to say anything.” Present in the courtroom, Gevorg Safaryan directed an insult towards the police chief, saying, “You should not say what people should say, scoundrel.” Following this, Judge Mesrop Makyan urged those present to maintain order, stating that if the disruption continued, the hearing would proceed behind closed doors.
