Bank Robbed in Belgium 'Hollywood Style': Georgian Arrested
The Belgian police have arrested a 27-year-old man of Georgian origin. This was reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the city police department.
The Georgian man is suspected of committing a robbery on February 2 at a branch of BNP Paribas Fortis in Antwerp, which is known as the largest diamond trading center in the world.
A source from the agency mentioned that the man acted 'Hollywood style.' Everything was executed so discreetly that neither the guards nor the local residents suspected anything.
According to local media, he and his accomplices took between 20 to 30 of the approximately 1,000 safes stored in the bank, which likely contained diamonds and valuable jewelry.
