Hearing of Appeal in Kocharyan Case to Continue Today

The Court of Appeals will continue the hearing regarding the appeal filed by the defense team against the decision of the first-instance court concerning the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, today at 12:00 PM. This was announced by the spokesperson for Robert Kocharyan's legal team, Elena Arakelyan.

It is reminded that on January 18, 2019, the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction granted the request of the Special Investigative Service investigator to extend the detention period for Robert Kocharyan and rejected the defense's motion to replace the chosen preventive measure of detention with an alternative measure, specifically bail.

The defense team has appealed this court decision.
