Chinese Nationals Enter Nairit with Mediation of Former Director: Details
Chinese citizens have entered the territory of Nairit Factory LLC through the mediation of the factory's former director, Ruben Saghatelyan, who is a member of the board of directors of the Armenian-Chinese joint venture 'Shansi-Nairit'. This was announced by Varag Siseryan, the head of the Deputy Prime Minister's office, on his Facebook page, referring to the recent developments related to Nairit Factory LLC.
“Ruben Saghatelyan did not coordinate these actions with the board of the joint venture or the government of Armenia and has effectively been acting independently. Following further discussions, it is possible that a process to remove Ruben Saghatelyan from the board of directors of the joint venture will be initiated in accordance with established procedures.
In addition, information regarding this incident will be forwarded to the relevant authorities to determine whether there are any criminal implications involved in these actions,” Siseryan wrote.
It is worth mentioning that days prior, the media reported: “Another looting process is being prepared at Nairit Factory LLC. The coordinating group of Nairit alerted '168 Hours' that representatives from China have been at the factory for about 10 days, showing considerable interest in specific issues. This visit was initiated and accompanied by the former director of Nairit, Ruben Saghatelyan, who is a member of the Armenian side of the board of directors of the Armenian-Chinese joint venture 'Shansi-Nairit'.
Established with the active participation of former Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, 'Shansi-Nairit' operates solely with acetylenic technology and does not possess butadiene technology.
According to reliable sources, China currently intends to build a new factory operating with butadiene technology, boasting a capacity of 50,000 tons. The issue is that butadiene technology exists in Armenia and only a few other countries worldwide. It is a secret technology that China does not possess.
According to the coordinating group, the Chinese are specifically interested in butadiene equipment, and there is significant concern among Nairit’s workforce that the former leadership of the factory has reached a criminal agreement to fully transfer this secret technology to the Chinese, complete with documentation, teaching manuals, and internal regulations.
