After Meeting with Pashinyan, Ananyan to Reduce Price of New Generation POS Terminals by 100,000 Dram and Remove Monopoly

New generation POS terminals will be provided for 60,000 dram instead of 160,000 dram to those entities for whom it has become mandatory to have such terminals by law starting January 1 of this year. This was announced moments ago by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.

“I just finished my latest working meeting with the head of the State Revenue Committee, Davit Ananyan. Taking into account citizens' complaints and suggestions, the head of the SRC will make a decision to provide new generation POS terminals for 60,000 dram instead of 160,000 dram to those entities for which it has become mandatory to have such terminals by law starting January 1 of this year.

The option for installment payments, meaning paying the amount over two years, which already existed, will be maintained.

Essentially, about 25,000 small and medium entities will benefit from this opportunity.

I would like to emphasize that the entities in the aforementioned category, pay attention to the aforementioned category, that have already acquired new generation POS terminals for 160,000 dram will be invited to the SRC, and recalculation will be carried out with them.

I would also like to mention that the state monopoly in the area of POS terminals will also be removed in the near future, and citizens can acquire terminals with the required parameters from anywhere in addition to the respective state body. The issue of reviewing parameters is also in the discussion phase,” he wrote.
