This is No Longer Funny: Lusine Haroyan to Alen Simonian
Member of the "National Progress" party Lusine Haroyan wrote on her Facebook page: "Alen Simonian stated on his Facebook page that it would be nice if our national flag contained a cross.
This is no longer funny.
The force that controls the most important levers of the state, apart from being far from the history of Armenian statehood, is occupied with who knows what.
Tell me, what should we do with pre-Christian Aratta, Hayasa, Nairi, Urartu, Artaxias, and Tigran the Great? Should we cast them aside, as if they are no longer our history?
Or was Tigran's created state worse?
In fact, we were a serious state in the pre-Christian period, so do not treat state symbols as you would treat the benches in your yard.
And what will the next thought be? To redesign the borders of Armenia in the form of a cross?
Gentlemen, you should first change the Constitution, not the anthem and the flag."
