Lilit Makunts on 4-Hour Meeting with the Prime Minister
The meeting did not take place; there was a discussion between the Prime Minister and separate members of the Government. This viewpoint was expressed by Lilit Makunts, the head of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, during a conversation with journalists today regarding a closed meeting of the faction.
"There is nothing surprising about these meetings; moreover, such meetings will be quite frequent because there is a need for the legislative and executive branches to synchronize their activities," she stated.
According to Makunts, many issues were discussed during the 4-hour meeting. She mentioned that they talked about Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visits to Davos and Germany, discussed bonuses, and a number of other separate issues.
"Since the meetings are work-related, I believe you understand that I cannot present many details regarding the positions expressed by each deputy on this or that issue. But I place great importance on this platform and this approach, as all problems are discussed here, and our further actions are now clear," emphasized Lilit Makunts.
Regarding the question as to whether it would have been possible for Nikol Pashinyan to present the details of his visit to Davos to all factions of the NA, considering that we are a parliamentary system, Lilit Makunts responded: "We are talking about a working meeting; there was no information that had not already been made public, but there were details that were presented to us. If there is a need, I am sure the Prime Minister will also present it to the other factions, if they wish to do so."
