President of Armenia Signs Pardons for Several Individuals. Is Yenokyan on the List?
The Office of the President of Armenia has received the Prime Minister's proposal regarding a number of pardon requests and has signed the corresponding decree without objections.
This information has been reported by the Public Relations Department of the President's Office in response to inquiries from the media.
"The decree signed by the President regarding the pardon requests has been sent to the relevant authorized body, the Ministry of Justice, in accordance with the procedures and deadlines established by law," stated the President's Office.
It is noteworthy that aysor.am reported today that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has presented his position to the President of Armenia regarding the pardon request for Mher Yenokyan, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 19-year-old medical university student Yosif Agajanyan in July 1996.
