Am I working for a bonus? I don't understand: Felix Tsolakyan
The Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia, Felix Tsolakyan, addressed bonuses during a conversation with journalists today.
“Bonuses have always existed; they have always been given, but the issue here was the amount; bonuses have been provided based on salary level. Now, I haven't awarded myself, and I don’t remember if I did so previously,” he stated.
Tsolakyan emphasized the need to provide the Ministry of Emergency Situations with development opportunities and to highlight the organization's role. Responding to journalists' observations that, according to the Prime Minister, state sector employees are paid very little, he said:
“Well, there is such a thing; for example, we need a programmer, but we can't offer a good salary, so naturally, they won’t want to come, and the quality of our work will decline. I have always stated my motivation: what is it? Am I working for a bonus? I don’t understand.”
