We Know the Path the Metro Will Take: Hayk Marutyan
The addition of two metro stations is not just a dream. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan during a conversation with journalists today, noting that “we are not saying we will build them; we are taking steps toward construction.”
“There are calculations made in 1985, and there is a working group that is studying these plans. When we talk about two stations, naturally, one will come first, followed by the second. Two stations will not be built in two or three years. We know the path the metro will take, and we will not allow buildings to be constructed along that route. One station will be located near 'Tumo', and the other near 'Kvartal'. The first one will be realized in the near future, while the second one will be far in the future,” he said.
