Serzh Sargsyan Was Aware of MoD Abuses and Gave Orders: 'Zhogh daily'
The newspaper 'Zhogh daily' reports that the Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee remains silent regarding the criminal cases initiated concerning officials of the Ministry of Defense (MoD). However, details have emerged about the criminal case linked to abuses within the MoD.
Specifically, this story of abuses within the MoD was uncovered in 2017, involving Serzh Sargsyan, who reportedly demanded that Ashot Grigoryan, the head of the capital construction and military housing department at the MoD, personally appear at the Presidential Palace on Baghramyan 26. After concluding the conversation with Sargsyan, Grigoryan was told to go back to his duties.
In this context, Davit Ananyan, the head of the State Revenue Committee, stated to 'Zhogh daily': 'Specifically, in regard to these cases, investigative actions or the examination continues. There are investigative procedures that require a sufficient amount of time to pass for them to be conducted.'
