10,000 Dram, 0.5-Liter Vodka, Cognac, and a Palm-Sized Dried Fruit: The Real Picture of Tax Committee Bonuses
In recent weeks, one of the most controversial bonuses revealed was that of the RA State Revenue Committee. The bonus of up to 9,060,000 dram for one individual raised many eyebrows and sparked outrage. Notably, the recipient was Rafik Mashadyan, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, while the Chairman, Davit Ananyan, received a bonus of 8,055,000 dram.
Without denying the reports of bonuses, the Committee Chairman added that all tax service employees were rewarded, from himself down to inspectors and cleaners.
However, sources from within the Committee told Lurer.com that only representatives of the highest ranks felt appreciated. It turns out that while Ananyan's statement regarding bonuses for other employees is true, it’s important to note that representatives from lower levels, despite performing critical tasks, received only bonuses of 10,000 dram, one single 0.5-liter bottle of vodka and cognac (the name is not specified to avoid advertising), and a palm-sized piece of dried fruit.
