Hearing in Kocharyan's Case Postponed

Today, under the chairmanship of Judge Mnatsakan Harutyunyan, the Appeals Court of Armenia reviewed the appeal submitted by the defense team regarding the measure of restraint for the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan. The court hearing has been postponed.

It is worth reminding that on January 18, 2019, the General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan accepted the investigator of the Special Investigation Service's motion to extend the detention period for Robert Kocharyan and rejected the defense team's request to replace the chosen measure of restraint of detention with an alternative measure of bail.

The defense team has filed an appellate complaint against this court decision.
