In 'Armavir' Penitentiary, Inmate with Six Convictions Dies
An inmate has died at the 'Armavir' penitentiary. This information was confirmed by the Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Service in a conversation with Tert.
“An inmate, Armen Nazaryan, has died at the 'Armavir' penitentiary. He was sentenced for committing an act described in part 2 of paragraph 3 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. He had previously been convicted six times,” the Public Relations Department stated.
According to the information from the Penitentiary Service's public relations division, on the morning of January 27 at 11:30 AM, Armen Nazaryan’s health deteriorated, and an ambulance was called; however, the inmate refused hospitalization.
“On the same day, for the second time at 10:33 PM, his health worsened again. The ambulance arrived at 11:00 PM and confirmed the biological death of Armen Nazaryan,” the Public Relations Department added, noting that a forensic examination has been appointed and an investigation is underway.
