Has the State Revenue Committee Understood Whether the Crocodile is a Living Creature or a Bird? The Governor's Program Has Taken Off
Ararat Province Governor Garik Sargsyan has responded on his Facebook page to the heated discussions that erupted following some remarks he made the day before.
It is noteworthy that while addressing the crocodile breeding program, Sargsyan mentioned, among other issues, that the State Revenue Committee was unable to define whether a crocodile's egg is a bird's or an animal's egg.
“A excerpt from Wikipedia, which is diligently typed out on the internet for biologists – crocodile experts: Currently existing organisms, their closest relatives are birds (especially those of Archosaurian lineage, or even descendants). On the phylogenetic tree, crocodiles are closely related to dinosaurs and modern birds, more so than other contemporary reptiles,” he wrote.
It should be recalled that the Ararat governor, in an interview with the Azatutyun radio station, mentioned that his plan to breed crocodiles has made progress. “There were some issues related to the investor, as the investor is from Tanzania and we are unable to provide a visa at the Zvartnots airport. I have formally requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to grant a visa specifically for this investor.”
“There were also some problems at the State Revenue Committee, our colleagues could not provide a definition – whether a crocodile's egg is a bird or an animal's. At this point, all obstacles have been overcome, and we are awaiting the investor’s visit to Armenia.”
