Damaged Wagon Now Under Repair, Perpetrators Will Be Punished
This morning, we reported that an unknown individual threw a rock at a Yerevan Metro train, resulting in a broken window of the wagon. The information was shared on Facebook by citizen Nazeli Nikoghosyan. According to her, during the time frame of January 26 from 18:00 to 18:10, an unknown person struck the train's window with a large rock on the section of the route leading from the Sasuntsi Davit station to the Zoravar Andranik station, narrowly missing her child and other passengers by mere luck.
The glass shards, along with the stone, filled the inside of the wagon. “The case is now under the jurisdiction of the Police. Fortunately, there are no injuries,” stated Tatevik Khachatryan, spokesperson for Yerevan Metro, in an interview with Aurora Media. She noted that the passengers in the wagon were understandably panicked. The damaged wagon is currently undergoing repair, and the spokesperson expressed hope that through the collaboration of the Metro and the Police, the perpetrators will be held accountable. Tatevik Khachatryan also mentioned that additional details of the incident will be presented tomorrow.
