Stabbing Near Night Club

On January 25, at 5:30 AM, the Vayq Medical Center reported to the Vayq police station that a young man had been brought in for medical assistance, diagnosed with a "stab wound to the right flank".

As a result of urgent operational-investigative measures, it was revealed that at approximately 2 AM on the same day, in the area adjacent to one of the night clubs on the Yerevan-Meghri highway, during a dispute over music requests, Gevorg G. struck the young man with a sharp cutting-stabbing object, causing him bodily injuries.

Gevorg G. was taken into custody by the police as a suspect, confessed to the crime, and presented the weapon used in the crime, a folding knife.

Measures are being taken to clarify all the circumstances of the incident and to identify other participants in the dispute.

A criminal case has been initiated. A forensic examination has been ordered.

An investigation is ongoing.
