Driver of Military Unit N Crashes Nissan X-Trail into Gas Pipeline Supports
A serious car accident occurred today, January 25, in the Kotayk province. Around 08:20, 35-year-old Arthur G. was driving a Nissan X-Trail with license plate 51 XR 100 on the Ashtarak-Yerevan highway within the administrative area of Proshyan village. While heading towards Yerevan, he veered off the roadway, collided with a gas pipeline, and subsequently found himself overturned on rocks.
According to preliminary information reported by Shamshyan.com, fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the accident.
The collision broke the gas pipeline, leading to a significant gas leak. Representatives from “Gazprom Armenia” quickly arrived on the scene to halt gas supply in the affected area until the damaged pipeline could be repaired. The village is temporarily without gas.
Witnesses at the scene indicated that the driver is a serviceman from Military Unit N of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, and military police officials from the Ministry of Defense are also arriving at the location.
