Criminal Prosecution Against Mihiran Poghosyan's Assistant Halted

The criminal prosecution against Andranik Isoyan, the assistant to former MP Mihiran Poghosyan, has been halted in connection with the hooliganism case that took place on April 21, 2018, on Ulneci Street in Yerevan. This information has been reported by NEWSmam, citing the judicial information system.

The Yerevan City Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Anna Matevosyan, decided in December 2018 to grant amnesty to Isoyan and, based on this, to terminate the criminal prosecution against him and close the criminal case. It is noteworthy that the damages caused to the victims have been compensated, and they did not object to halting the prosecution against Isoyan.

It should be recalled that according to the prosecution, on April 21, 2018, Andranik Isoyan, along with a group of individuals, arrived on Ulneci Street in a vehicle registered under the name of “Katherine Group” LLC, and descending from that vehicle with batons, engaged in hooliganism by deliberately violating public order. Isoyan had been subject to bail as a preventive measure.

Isoyan has served as the assistant to former MP Mihiran Poghosyan.
