Armenia to Be First Country to Purchase New AK-12 Rifles from Kalashnikov

Armenia will be the first country, after Russia, to purchase the latest AK-12 rifles manufactured by the Kalashnikov concern.

This was announced by the concern's CEO, Vladimir Dmitriyev, in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.

“The contract has been signed; we are currently preparing a relatively small batch of about 50 rifles. They will be examined, tested in action, and hopefully, the purchases will continue,” Dmitriyev stated.

It is noteworthy that the Kalashnikov concern is a leading manufacturer of firearms and individual combat equipment in Russia. Although the concern has been under the influence of U.S. and European sanctions for the past five years, it continues to be one of the most successful military enterprises in Russia.
