A Uprising is Brewing: Vanetsyan Intensifies Pressure on Car Importers
The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports: "The visit of the National Security Service Director Arthur Vanetsyan has further inflamed car importers, who are unable to bring their vehicles into Armenia and have been lingering in the so-called neutral zone at the Armenian-Georgian border for a considerable time.
The car importers are planning to organize a protest today, demanding that the government take their rights into account.
It should be noted that yesterday, during his visit to the Bagratashen border checkpoint, Arthur Vanetsyan essentially set a deadline for car importers, demanding that they remove their vehicles from that area within a week. This demand is not entirely legal, considering that the Armenian authorities are requiring owners of cars with a right-hand drive system to reconfigure their vehicles within six months, while the car owners deem this requirement unlawful."
