Video: Russian Tanks Observed Moving in Shirak Region

A Facebook user, Armen Hayrapetyan, has published a video showing how tanks and other military equipment from the 102nd military base, stationed in Gyumri, are moving in a column.

The footage reveals that the Russian tanks are traveling near the Kapas community in the Shirak region. Concerns have arisen among users regarding the purpose of this military equipment being present in the area.

In response to Factor.am's inquiry, Aram Antonian, head of the Local Self-Government and Republican Executive Bodies Department at the Shirak Regional Administration, stated that this area is designated for military exercises by the Russian military base.

“This is their territory; they always conduct exercises there. There has been movement on their part, but no alarm has been raised that anything is amiss. This area is located near the communities of Kapas, Vahramaberd, and Hovuni, and is referred to as ‘Kamkhud’,” Aram Antonian said.
