Updated: Lars is Open, Truck Buildup Observed on Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of January 22, at 08:00, there are impassable and closed roads within the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is open only for passenger vehicles, while closed for others.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to traverse.

There are patches of black ice on the Sotk-Karvachar road, as well as on the roads in the Ashtarak and Amasia regions of Shirak province, and in the Syunik province.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

Regarding Lars:

According to information from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Information from the North Ossetia branch of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry indicates that there are 289 trucks accumulated on the Russian side.
