Protesters Open Champagne and Congratulate Each Other

"This was a victory for the Armenian people," said participants of the protest rally near the Court of Appeals upon hearing the decision to detain Manvel Grigoryan.

They congratulated each other with champagne. "There will be a barbecue in Echmiadzin square, and we will open champagne again," said one of the organizers, Jivan Abrahamyan.

It is worth mentioning that we earlier reported that former Armenian MP and former president of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, Manvel Grigoryan, would be detained.

The decision was made by the Armenian Court of Appeals, chaired by Judge Arsen Nikoghosyan.
