Updated: Black Ice, Closed and Impassable Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of January 21 at 21:00, there are impassable and closed roadways across the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is open only to passenger vehicles, while it remains closed for others.
The Sotk-Karabakh road is impassable.
There are patches of black ice along the Sotk-Karabakh road, as well as in the regions of Ashotzk and Amasia in Shirak province and along certain roadways in Syunik province.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

According to information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are 289 trucks accumulated on the Russian side.
Construction Works are Ongoing
Construction work is being carried out on the section of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from kilometer 39 to Bagratashen.
Alternative routes for transportation have been established:
Internal transportation to the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby settlements is being conducted via the following routes:
- Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehart-Odzun-Alaverdi along the segments leading to the Georgian border.

From June 30, 2018, until January 21 of this year, construction works are being carried out at kilometer 139 of the Yerevan-Meghri road, which has resulted in a section of about 200 meters being closed to one-way traffic.
