I Am Not Against the Reopening of the Case, Says Father of Slain Joseph Agajanov
As previously reported, the father of 19-year-old Joseph Agajanov, who was murdered in 1996, Professor Mikhail Agajanov, head of the Biochemistry Department at Yerevan State Medical University, has today appealed to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, requesting ten minutes of his time for a personal meeting.
In an interview with Aysor.am, Mikhail Agajanov stated that he wishes to express his family's opinion regarding the case during the meeting with the Prime Minister.
“We simply want to share our opinion. I don’t know if the Prime Minister is informed, but I want him to hear us directly,” said Mikhail Agajanov.
Responding to the media’s observation that it is often mentioned that the Agajanov family has been opposed to reopening the case, Mikhail Agajanov stated, “If necessary, let them investigate it again. Although I know that the case is completely clear and there’s nothing ambiguous about it. I am not against the reopening of the case; I am merely saying that there is nothing shady about it. It is not for me to decide; there are special bodies that should determine whether I am for or against, and it has no significance.”
