There Are Difficult and Blocked Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of January 20, at 08:30, there are difficult and blocked roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, while it is difficult to pass for others.
The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable.
On the Sotk-Karvachar road, as well as on the roads in the Shirak region's Ashotsk and Amasia districts, there are patches of black ice.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open only for passenger cars and buses.
According to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation’s North Ossetia Republic, there are 259 trucks, 167 passenger cars, and 2 buses piled up on the Russian side.
Construction Work is Ongoing
Construction work is taking place on the section of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from the 39th km to Bagratashen.
Alternative routes for transportation have been established:
Intra-community traffic for vehicles to the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby settlements is to be conducted via the following route:
- Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehak-Odzun-Alaverdi through the road sections to the Georgian border.

From June 30, 2018, to January 20 of this year, construction work has been carried out on the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, resulting in about a 200-meter stretch being closed in one direction.
