5 Billion Dram Property: What Manvel Grigoryan Offers for Donation

There has been no progress regarding the donations from Manvel Grigoryan. Narek Babayan, the head of the State Property Management Committee, spoke about this in an interview with Tert.am.

According to him, the property offered by Grigoryan must still be inventoried and its value assessed before being submitted for government decision. If accepted, the committee will set a starting price for an auction.

“There is quite a bit of work to be done. It also needs to be clarified what legal form it will take,” noted Narek Babayan.

There is no precise information about the value of the donations from the committee, but the amount of Manvel Grigoryan's donation is estimated by a private company at 5 billion drams.

Grigoryan offers one property, one general public joint-stock company with 25 different certificates. In a single enclosed area, there is a hotel, private houses, a horse breeding farm, a duck breeding farm, and more. The property is located in the community areas of Aknalich and Taronik villages in Echmiadzin.

It should be noted that Manvel Grigoryan has been charged under Article 235, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia for illegally acquiring military supplies and storing them in collusion with others, as well as for embezzling property entrusted to him in a particularly large amount in collusion with a group of people under Article 179, Part 3, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
