Military Personnel Destroy Weapons Worth 1.3 Million Rubles in Kamchatka
A case of intentional destruction of military property has been uncovered at one of the military units in Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka, Russia. According to DW.com, the revelation came during conducted inspections.
The Russian Chief Military Prosecutor's Office reports that the deputy commander of the military unit instructed to disseminate information about the transfer of excess ammunition. However, what was actually declared as used ammunition was reportedly "removed from the battlefield and thrown into the swamp," as emphasized by the prosecutor's office.
The damage to the state is noted to exceed 1.3 million rubles. Following the inspections, investigative authorities have initiated a criminal case regarding the intentional destruction of military property.
