Leaders of Armenian Mafia Arrested in France

The French police and Europol have jointly arrested suspects who are senior members of a major Eurasian mafia group primarily composed of Armenians.

According to a statement from Europol, searches were conducted at 27 locations across France. A total of €32,000, nearly 2,000 cartons of cigarettes, 23 kg of tobacco, and six firearms were seized.

Europol notes that the suspects employed a specific method, using vehicles as payment for further criminal activities (i.e., exchanging them for shipments of cigarettes or drugs).
