Black Ice, Impassable and Closed Roads: Current Situation

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of January 19 at 21:30, there are impassable and closed roads in the Republic of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, while it is difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

The Sotk-Karvachar road and the roads leading to the villages of Mirak and Charjakis in the Aragatsotn region are impassable.

Black ice is present in some areas along the Sotk-Karvachar road and along the highways in the Shirak region, particularly in the Ashotsk and Amasia areas.
