766 Patients Hospitalized with Acute Respiratory Infections

As of January 18, 766 patients have been hospitalized with acute respiratory infections in hospitals across the Republic, with 98 emergency calls recorded. A slight increase has been observed in polyclinic organizations, with 1,776 visits, attributed to the population's active response in the early stages of the illness. This information was provided by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, noting that in recent days, there has been stabilization of the situation related to acute respiratory infections, as evidenced by the ongoing results of epidemiological monitoring.

According to the results of laboratory studies conducted, the H1N1 and H3N2 subtypes of Influenza A are circulating in the country.

The implementation of the “epidemic filter” continues in schools and kindergartens. As of January 18, 386 children have been identified with acute respiratory symptoms (162 in Yerevan, 224 in the regions). All children have been sent back home.

Monitoring of the thermal regime in schools and kindergartens is also ongoing. Data regarding all deviations are submitted to local and territorial management bodies.

It is reminded that emergency duty will be conducted on weekends in the Republic's outpatient-polyclinic services.
